Saturday Song: Love is Blue by Andy Williams

A while back when I played my guitar and sang at an adult day care facility, a woman asked me if I knew this song. I told her I didn’t think there were any words to it, but when I looked online, I discovered otherwise. This Andy Williams rendition is different from the instrumental version I remember from the 1960’s. Enjoy, and have a great Saturday.

  1. Thanks for providing us this song. I only heard the instrumental version. Andy’s song adds a whole new dimension of poignancy to the melody.

I’m glad that you also feature songs which aren’t happy ones. Life isn’t always sunshine and flowers. We have our long winter nights of the soul. We have our grey days of sorrow when it seems the sun will never shine. It’s good to grieve when we need to and a healthy outlet for our blues cures of them in the end.
