Wednesday Words Poetry Challenge: Fly and Sing (Synonyms Only)

Image contains: Abbie, smiling. The following nonet was inspired by Colleen Chesebro’s weekly poetry challenge and a song. This week’s words are “fly” and “sing,” and you’ll note that I used “carry tunes” and “soaring” as synonyms. You can click the button below the poem to hear me recite it, then play and sing the song that also inspired it.

SINGING CHRISTMAS PRAISES

During the holiday season, I
carry tunes of joy, peace, hope, love,
celebrate this holy night
of the blessed Saviour’s birth
with soaring voice, heart,
fall to my knees
while angels
behold
Him.

  1. Reblogged this on Campbells World and commented:
Hello campbellsworld visitors and followers one and all.
It is with wondrous joyful pleasure I bring you yet another poem and song by Abbie Johnson Taylor.
If you listen to her read her poem and sing the song which inspired it you’ll get a blessing like nothing you’ve had so far this holiday season.
It will lift your spirits, and you too will fly with Abbie.
You will be “Carried” away with this in a very special and blessed way.
Thanks so much Abbie for sharing your most excellent talent with us.
    Happy holidays everyone.
You know? For someone who declared she wasn’t gonna celebrate I’m doing a heck of a lot of it this year, and it is because of Abbie’s loving way of presenting that it is so.
