Song Lyric Sunday: I’ll Be Loving You Always

Image contains: Abbie, smiling. This week’s theme, according to newepicauthor, is “minutes/hours/days/months.” The song I’m featuring was a favorite at the nursing home where I worked as a registered music therapist for fifteen years before becoming a full-time author. At the end of the song, it goes, “not for just an hour, not for just a day, not for just a year, but always.” That’s how long I loved my late husband before he passed. Enjoy!

Always

I’ll be loving you always
With a love that’s true always.
When the things you’ve planned
Need a helping hand,
I will understand always.
Always.
Days may not be fair always,
That’s when I’ll be there always.
Not for just an hour,
Not for just a day,
Not for just a year,
But always.
I’ll be loving you, oh always
With a love that’s true always.
When the things you’ve planned
Need a helping hand,
I will understand always.
Always.
Days may not be fair always,
That’s when I’ll be there always.
Not for just an hour,
Not for just a day,
Not for just a year,
But always.
Not for just an hour,
Not for just a day,
Not for just a year,
But always.

  1. Heard it and loved it when I was in my “tweens”. I’ll be loving you always was very popular. Now, my hubby and I will be celebrating our 55th Wedding Anniversary this June 2019! : D ♥
Haven’t been able to find the instrumental only for “Always”. Could you help us find it? Thank you! Need it for one of the vocalist that day.

  2. This was my parents song. When they danced together and it was playing, the way they looked into each other’s eyes and how loving their embrace was. They are in heaven now and have been for some time, and I’m sure they are still dancing to it up there. I still miss them. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
