“Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” I sang years ago. But I wasn’t performing in a Disney movie. I was auditioning for my high school’s production of The Boy Friend. Besides having us sight-read music from the show, our director asked us each to sing something familiar. I hoped to be cast in the lead role, but instead, I ended up in the chorus. Maybe with better eyesight and dancing skills, I might have even gotten into a Disney production.
